This page explains how Hydromize collects, uses, stores and protects personal information in line with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Note: This page is maintained by GT Emission Solutions GmbH to answer common privacy questions about Hydromize. It describes our current practices and the controls visible in this app. It is not a legal certificate or legal advice; if you need a binding legal document, please contact us.

If you are based in South Africa, POPIA applies to us when we process your personal information. We act as the responsible party for data collected via this website and our contact forms.

What personal information do we collect?

We only collect personal information that is necessary for the purposes listed below. This may include:

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, company name and job title (when you book a call, request a demo, register for a webinar or contact us).
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device information, pages visited, time spent on pages and referring URLs.
  • Communication data: records of emails, meeting bookings and support requests.
  • Consent records: your cookie and marketing preferences, where applicable.

We do not intentionally collect special personal information (such as health, race or political opinions) through this website.

How do we collect personal information?

We collect information directly from you and automatically when you use the site:

  • Directly from you: when you fill in a contact form, book a demo via our scheduling link, register for a webinar or send us an email.
  • Automatically: through cookies, analytics tags and server logs when you browse the site.
  • From third parties: only where you have given permission or where it is necessary to provide our services (for example, when a webinar host shares registration details with us).

Why do we process your information?

We process personal information only for specific, explicitly defined and lawful purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries and provide information about Hydromize.
  • To schedule and conduct demos, webinars and consultation calls.
  • To improve the website, fix errors and understand how visitors use our content.
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
  • To protect our rights, property and safety, and that of our users.

We do not use your personal information for a new purpose that is incompatible with these purposes unless required by law or with your consent.

How do we protect your information?

POPIA requires appropriate, reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information. The controls visible in this app include:

  • Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS/TLS.
  • Cookie consent management through Cookiebot, so you can control non-essential cookies.
  • Access to personal information limited to team members who need it to perform their roles.
  • Third-party service providers are selected with appropriate security and data-processing commitments.

No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify the Information Regulator and affected data subjects where POPIA requires us to do so.

Cookies, analytics and third-party tools

This website uses the following tools:

  • Google Tag / Google Ads: we use the Google tag (gtag.js) with ID AW-666615278 to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to understand how users reach the site. This may set cookies and share data with Google.
  • Cookiebot by Usercentrics: manages your cookie consent and lets you choose which categories of cookies you accept. Cookiebot may collect your IP address and consent choices.
  • Microsoft Teams Events: when you register for a webinar through our Teams event link, Microsoft processes your registration data under its own terms.
  • Microsoft Bookings: when you book a call through our scheduling link, Microsoft processes your contact details under its own terms.

You can manage or withdraw your cookie consent at any time by clicking the Cookiebot icon in the corner of the page.

Sharing and cross-border transfers

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate the website and deliver our services, and with professional advisers where necessary.

Some of these providers are located outside South Africa (for example, in the European Union or the United States). When we transfer personal information across borders, we do so only where the recipient country provides adequate protection or where appropriate safeguards are in place, consistent with POPIA's cross-border flow requirements.

How long do we keep your information?

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. As a general guide:

  • Enquiry and demo booking records: up to 3 years after the last interaction, unless you ask us to delete them earlier.
  • Webinar registration records: up to 2 years after the event.
  • Analytics and log data: typically up to 26 months, after which identifiers are removed or aggregated.

When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymise or securely destroy it.

Your rights under POPIA

POPIA gives data subjects the right to:

  • Access: request confirmation of whether we hold your personal information and request a copy.
  • Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or misleading information.
  • Deletion: request deletion of personal information where we no longer have a legal basis to keep it.
  • Objection: object to processing for direct marketing or where your legitimate interests outweigh ours.
  • Complaint: lodge a complaint with the South African Information Regulator if you believe your rights have been infringed.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@greentrax.de. We will respond within the timeframes set by POPIA.
